2. What data we use and why

Market research invitations

We may process business contact details (such as name, job role, and work email address) to invite individuals to participate in market research.

  • We only contact individuals using their business or institutional contact details, not personal email addresses.
  • We do not use contact details for marketing purposes.
  • Invitations are limited and proportionate (typically no more than two contact attempts).
  • Communication includes a clear option to opt out of further contact.

Lawful basis: Legitimate interests (conducting professional market research in a business context).

Participation in research

If you take part in research (e.g. interviews, surveys, or calls):

  • Participation is always voluntary
  • You may decline or withdraw at any time
Telephone / interview research
  • We do not record calls without your explicit consent
  • Responses are handled in a way that ensures anonymity
  • We do not share names, contact details, or identifiable information with clients or third parties
Online surveys/forms
  • Surveys are designed so that responses are anonymous by default, unless stated otherwise
  • We do not attempt to identify respondents from survey responses
Prize draws and incentives (if applicable)

Where a prize draw or incentive is offered:

  • We may collect contact details (e.g. email address) solely for the purpose of administering the draw/reward
  • This information is used only to contact the winner
  • It is not used for marketing or added to any mailing list

In some cases, we may offer the option to actively opt in to future contact. This will always be:

  • Clearly explained
  • Optional
  • Separate from participation in the research or prize draw

Lawful basis:

  • Contract (to administer the prize draw)
  • Consent (for any optional future contact)

3. How we use and share data

  • We only use personal data for the purposes described above
  • We do not sell, rent, or share personal data for marketing
  • Research results are reported in anonymous and aggregated form only

4. Data retention

  • Contact details used for research invitations are kept only as long as necessary
  • Prize draw contact details are deleted after the draw is completed
  • Anonymous research data may be retained for analysis but cannot be linked back to individuals

5. Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:

  • Object to being contacted for research purposes
  • Request access to your personal data
  • Request correction or deletion of your data
  • Withdraw consent (where applicable)

If you opt out, we will stop contacting you promptly.

6. Data security

We take appropriate measures to protect personal data and ensure it is handled securely and confidentially.

7. Updates to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on request or on our website.
